I would like to congratulate Sam McIvor and Ian Walker on their responses to one-sided views taken on pig farming.
It is high time the general public heard more from the side of the farmers and learnt how easily things can be manipulated.
Clarification of regulations and audits showed that pork producers are trying and some of the people hell-bent on ruining their livelihoods have a lot to learn, going by what Ian said, even the difference between a boar and a sow.
The audit processes that pig farmers adhere to go through an independent company and as Ian Walker pointed out are not too different from those that the SPCA requires.
Thank goodness some sensible views have seen the light of day.
It was also interesting to hear a scientists response to a climate change sceptic recently. The scientist said something along the lines of “do they think we all got together and made up global warming and it is a conspiracy? That is not what science is about”. Hmmmmmmmm really, I am pretty sure there has been scientific research on sprays that our fathers would have used that would have clearly shown results detrimental to human health, yet it was publicly announced they were that safe they shouldn’t be a problem to drink.
I’m not saying yay or nay on climate change, however, trust no one and believe nothing unless you see it with your own two eyes is becoming my motto more and more these days.
