What a wonderful world we live in . . .

What a wonderful world we live in . . .

There have been comments that my previous blog wasn’t balanced.

Well, it is a blog, not meant to be an informative article based on fact. It is more of a rant of the week from our farming household.

I welcome the response - this is just what we like, some controversial comments over hot topics. And it’s nice to know someone reads it.

However, I feel that some of you may have misread my blog and believe I think this about all environmentalists which is not the case. I think it about quite a few activists, but I don’t believe that they are all environmentalists.

I know just as much as the next person how important the environment is to our primary production, and the great significance of biosecurity. I have written many blogs and articles on this and ways that we are altering our farming practices.

I wouldn’t put all environmentalists in the same category and condemn them, like many typify all dairy farmers in a bad light because of a certain few. If I did that it would be double standards wouldn’t it? And haven’t we got enough of that?

However, I must sit back, pay the taxes, put up with racist comments made about New Zealand pakeha by members of our Parliament, work my butt off, have the finger pointed at me and just get used to it.

What a wonderful world we live in, it just seems to keep getting better . . .
