Art out of farm junk

25 Jun, 2010 02:30 PM
Once again the AgTrader National Fieldays Sculpture Competition was a resounding success. Entries came from far and wide with all sculptors having a common goal - to create a work of art out of farm junk.

As always the competiton attracted a lot of attention with many Fieldays visitors stopping to admire the works of art and cast their vote for their favourite sculture.

The AgTrader team would like to thank all entrants for their support – if you visited Fieldays and think you too could create a masterpiece out of the junk around your farm, please phone AgTrader on 0800 55 55 44 for an entry form.

The results of the competition were as follows:

First: Mr Ed; Todd Harris, Ngongotaha;

Second: Kiwi Farmer; Adrian Worsley, Te Aroha;

Third: Crane; Tony Harrison, Otorohanga;

Highly Commended

Don’t Drink & Die; N. Bryant & BJ Austin, RD8 Hamilton;

Kiwi Farmer 2010: Tony Gray, Morrinsville; Table & Chairs; Dave Howe, Rotorua

Public Vote: Pig Dog Culler; Jack Marsden-Mayer, Owhango.

If NZ is not supporting these amazing artists, then NZ would be a dead loss. This work is absolutely stunning. I am proud to be a Kiwi when I see work such as this. Congratulations to you all.
